LATEST OUT-OF-STATE, OUT-OF-TOUCH LEFTIST GROUP CONFRIMS TRIVEDI IS A LIBERAL!
On Same Day Gerlach is Endorsed by Local Police, Trivedi Again Embraces the Left-Wing Values of Howard Dean and MoveOn.org
(Glenmoore, PA) - On the same day Jim Gerlach received the local support and endorsement of the Chester County Fraternal Order of Police, fringe candidate Manan Trivedi proudly announced the backing of Democracy for America (DFA) yesterday, an extreme out-of-state activist group borne out of Howard Dean's disastrous 2004 presidential campaign. Democracy for America is funded by wealthy San Francisco liberals, left-wing financiers like George Soros, and radical organizations like MoveOn.org according to publicly available campaign finance reports.
"Trivedi has pledged his full support for the debt-laden trillion dollar stimulus that hasn't created jobs, socialized health care, amnesty for illegal immigrants and taxpayer funding of abortions and condoms for kids in public schools. It's pretty clear that his radical agenda is right at home with this liberal organization who have no understanding of southeastern Pennsylvania taxpayers or communities," said Mark Campbell, spokesman for the Gerlach campaign. "On the same day Jim Gerlach is receiving the support of people who live, work and raise their families here, Manan Trivedi is again embracing the values of Howard Dean and MoveOn.org."
Howard Dean, who founded DFA, is coming to raise money for Trivedi next month. In advance of his visit, the Gerlach campaign released a video of Trivedi's left-wing positions, in his own words. The video can be viewed by clicking here.
Ironically, less than three weeks ago, Trivedi failed to gain the support of 66,000 DFA activists across the country in his campaign to win their "Grassroots All Stars” competition, which promised funding, volunteers and other campaign activities to the top three winners. Trivedi failed to even break the top 10 despite actively campaigning for their endorsement.
"Even DFA activists this month identified Trivedi as a losing candidate," said Campbell.
Trivedi has flat out rejected the possibility of joining the moderate Blue Dog Democrat caucus in Congress who advocate for fiscal responsibility - instead opting for the Pelosi-wing of the Democrat Party, whose ideas are in a free fall with commonsense swing voters.
"This district expects an independent leader who protects taxpayers, and Jim Gerlach has repeatedly stood up for taxpayers and has been named one of the most independent Republicans in Washington,” said Campbell. "Trivedi has simply promised to be a rubber-stamp for the same failed Pelosi policies that have brought us record spending, record debt, no jobs, and soon the largest tax increase in American history."
